Assistant Director of Athletic Training Services

JOB SUMMARY:
Leads the day to day operations of the sports medicine program. Responsible for communicating team expectation and procedures for implementation of department/VUMC. Responsible for managing, monitoring, and improving customer service satisfaction. Supervises staff to develop individual and team performance. Implements processes to achieve financial targets. Collaborates and coordinates with other teams and departments to maximize use of resources to deliver appropriate care to student athletes.

• Assists with managing, monitoring, and improving customer service satisfaction.
• Enhances integration within the Patient Care Center and assists with integration across the clinical enterprise.
• Implements processes to achieve financial targets.
• Scheduling, supervision and management of staff to develop individual and team performance.
• Research and development of new modalities and equipment
• Education and curriculum of continuing education for development of staff, and oversight of employee compliance for VUMC, SEC, NCAA and VUAD Rules/Regulations

Vanderbilt Sports Medicine is located in the Vanderbilt Orthopedic Institute on the campus of Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. We provide medical care to athletes of all ages and levels of competition from Tennessee and the surrounding regions and are official sports medicine providers for:

• Vanderbilt University NCAA Division I Athletics
• Nashville Predators (NHL)
• Nashville Sounds (Oakland Athletics AAA Baseball)
• Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association
• Metro Nashville Public Schools
