The Rehabilitation Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center provides physiatry, physical therapy and occupational therapy to both inpatients and outpatients.
As Rehabilitation Equipment Liaison, you will:
Assist in the timely and accurate procurement of durable medical equipment (DME) and rehab supplies.
Manage the workflow from initial entering of equipment orders to the delivery of DME to patient rooms for same day deliveries and also have responsibilities in managing scripts for planned discharges acting as a liaison between vendors and patients.
Perform inventory of DME and therapy supplies daily.
Participate in orienting staff to ensure coverage for periods of time off.
Keep meticulous records of all documentation, communications and equipment tracking relevant to procurement and inventory of DME.
A minimum of a high school diploma/GED with some relevant experience
Understanding of basic medical terminology
Good organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in computer work including Microsoft Office and faxing/scanning/emailing
Days/Times: Monday-Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
