BioMed Tech FT Days Position Summary:
The Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) provides clinical equipment services under the close supervision of TriMedx management and/or experienced technicians. Duties include, but are not limited to, inspections of clinical equipment for completeness, proper operation, mechanical and electrical safety. The individual also performs planned maintenance inspections, calibrations, repairs of general equipment and minor repairs of complex equipment. The BMET I assists other technicians in the troubleshooting and major repair of complex equipment. The individual demonstrates adherence to the core values of the hospital and TriMedx in all professional interactions by showing respect to all people, creating real value, initiating meaningful change, and exhibiting integrity.
THE BIOMED TECH FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
EDUCATION Required: Associates Degree in biomedical equipment technology or electronics or equivalent training and experience
WORK EXPERIENCE Required: 0-1 years specific related experience
Knowledge Required: Knowledge of electronics as it applies to the repair and inspections of clinical instrumentation.
Other Required: Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays and/or weekends as required. Must be able to perform work from ladders and other high places; must possess normal color vision and normal or correctable hearing. Must be able to work in confined or restricted spaces wearing protective equipment as required and able to work in extreme indoor and outdoor conditions. Must be able to transport self to various sites as required. When using own vehicle or company provided vehicle, must have valid Arizona driversâ�� license and proof of insurance that meets the minimum standards of the state of Arizona.
