Occ Summary
Coordinates daily operations in one area of rehabilitation services department while maintaining an active patient load. Assists the Director of Rehabilitation Services with strategic planning and development, personnel management, and fiscal planning. Responsibilities include maintaining appropriate staffing levels in assigned area, coordination of staff development, assuring quality patient care, coordination of volunteers, and participation in PI activities. In addition, the Clinical Coordinator will evaluate, render treatment, and supervises the treatment of patients in his/her discipline.
Work Performed
SUPERVISION
Provides direct supervision to clinical staff including performance reviews,development plans, professional and clinical growth and other supervisory tasks within Division standards Oversees the completion of the peer review process for clinical staff members within clinical cluster area Adjusts staffing to meet clinical demands which includes maintenance of time off and keeping administration updated of staffing needs in assigned clinical cluster area Under direction of Assistant Director, monitors, analyzes, and adjusts processes, scheduling, and staffing to assure a high level of service quality and cost-effectiveness Creates and oversees a positive, collaborative, team environment within assigned clinical cluster area Oversees employee orientation and privileging of staff in assigned clinical cluster area Monitors and assures that staff documentation is accurate, clear, legible, and in compliance with governing bodies OPERATIONS Provides daily management of clinical cluster area including routine staffing and patient care issues Assists the Assistant Directorin ensuring that Division policies and procedures are maintained in all operations and that they support the Joint Commission accreditation standards Completes performance improvement project within assigned clinical cluster area Maintains open communication and collaboration with Administrative Staff to assure that policies, procedures, and other activities are consistently implemented and support Division standards Works collaboratively with Clinical Specialist regarding the development of new programs assigned in their clinical cluster area Along with the Assistant Director, collaborates with other divisions, departments, professionals, and other stakeholders to assure quality service provision Assists Administrative Staff with recruitment activities within assigned clinical cluster area as requested Reports to the Assistant Director on inventory of supplies and equipment, particularly regarding new technology and software, within assigned clinical cluster area In consultation with Clinical Specialist, provides input to Administrative Staff regarding budgeting, purchasing and annual objectives pertaining to assigned clinical cluster area Assists Assistant Director in the identification, development, and implementation of marketing and program development opportunities CLINICAL SERVICES In addition to all clinical service duties and responsibilities of a Clinician, a Clinical Coordinator will also complete the following: Establishes clinical excellence and serves as a resource within assigned clinical cluster and to other medical professionals Maintains clinical productivity and/or produces a quantity of work that is consistent with Divisional administrative productivity goals Maintains evidenced based and state of the art serviceprograms and clinical services that are consistent with Division standards Provides feedback to the Assistant Directors regarding the need for development and/or change of policies and procedures that guide the provision of services.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited program in Occupational or Physical Therapy or Speech Language Pathology or Audiology. Masters' degree or previous management experience preferred. Must have current NC licensure to practice Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology or Audiology.
Experience
At least three years experience in relevant clinical practice required.
