Acute Care - Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

Looking for an PTA who is flexible, creative, committed, reliable, and able to operate at the highest level of clinical practice. The employee must be self-driven, outcomes oriented, and able to demonstrate quality work within a fast paced environment, so as to meet productivity as it aligns with our stewardship value. A good candidate is also someone who is highly collaborative and able to see the big picture. There is need for strong communication between OT/PT/PTA/COTA/SLP, as well as other care team members such as physician, nursing and CM/SW. One must be comfortable, willing, and capable to work as a team, as well as work independently, but pull in assist when needed.

The Acute Therapy department at Auburn focuses on acute inpatient therapy in ICU, PCU, Med/Surg, ED, ortho, total joint replacements, neuro, and podiatry. MultiCare utilizes EPIC for all electronic medical records. The full-time position is benefitted (Medical, Dental, Vision, Continuing Education, PTO, sick time). Full-time employees are required to work 3 Holidays per year and are randomized for equitys sake.

It is also expectation that all staff may be trained to provide cross coverage for both Auburn and Covington campuses, pending census and staffing needs.

FTE: 0, Shift: days, Schedule: per diem; weekend rotation required, but need for true per diem availability during week as well; usually pre-scheduled coverage for PTO, but night prior or morning of contact for census fluctuations or unexpected needs.

Position Summary

Responsibilities

• You will perform well in stress and emergency situations
• You will perform treatment interventions for outpatient and/or inpatient population as directed
• You will perform documentation in the medical record that is timely and accurate
• You will communicate well with patients, peers, other health professionals in the coordination of care for the patients

Requirements

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Washington
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in physical therapy in an adult acute care, orthopedic, neurology, gerontology, and/or oncology preferred
