The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates. Min = $40.82 Mid = $51.03 Max = $61.23
Summary: The Occupational Therapist will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, and help patients reach maximum performance level, restore function, prevent disability, and use skills learned to the fullest to function in the community within the limits of their capabilities.
Responsibilities: Design and administer treatment programs to maximize patients' function. Uses therapeutic exercises and activities to improve or maintain strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination as appropriate or directed by physician. Instruct patients in adapted techniques and the use of adaptive equipment for daily living and trains patients in the use of prosthetic devices as needed.
Provides prevention therapy to maintain functional skills; instructs patients in energy conservation, joint protection, safety techniques for sensory loss, and transferring and visual field deficit. Trains patient in posture control and therapeutic procedures, to be continued by the patient in office and within a home program.
Adapts patient’s care plan and care techniques as needed based on patient’s progress towards functional goals.
Directs activities of the Occupational Therapist Assistant in accordance with the care plan to achieve patients’ functional goals.
Practices organization and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly updates documentation based on patient progress.
Enhance professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, and team meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
